60th Birthday!

Priory Veterinary Group has reached it's sixtieth birthday. The current practice was initially set up on Marton Road by Michael Horrox on June 1st 1951.

Mr Horrox visited the practice during June last year to have a look at how things have changed, both with the building and veterinary care! He presented current partners, Cheryl Driskell, Paul Thompson and former collegue Neville Kingston with a framed page from his very first day book detailing cases seen and their treamtents.

Examples of cases he treated in those early days include distemper and ricketts, diseases rarely seen nowadays thanks to vaccinations and our increased knowledge of nutrition.
